Of course, this is for if you want to play as a single machine. I added TOTAL CABINETS=1 to ShellData>GameSettings.ini based on something I read on another forum. I'm not sure what the bake frequency is, so I may play with it and see if changing it to 0 improves visuals. Everything else in that section is default. That was a change of dynamic resolution to 0 to disable it and a change of MSAA to 1 to enable it. Got beefy hardware? go to GameData>config.ini and make things appear like this. (The game itself supports HDMI audio out.) If you don't see the option there (I no longer see it, I think it might be because I removed the game from the root of the C drive) you can use this in ShellData>GameSettings.ini - GAME LENGTH=CLASSIC MODE If it fails to run, make sure you're not using HDMI audio out. You can use the test menu (shell.exe) to change the game length to classic mode so you get 4 laps on Dinosaur Canyon. If you leave it as 0.1, I've found the above Steam settings to work well with it, so don't change that 0.1 unless you feel you need to. In one of the cfg files, there's a deadzone option. The only time I had to restart the program was when I played with the controller before the Sega logo showed up. If the game doesn't respond to your start button, close it and try again. I recommend not touching anything on the controller until the Sega logo shows up. You can also bring up the Steam overlay and exit the game from there. Add daytona.exe as a non-steam game, set up the controller as a standard xinput controller, adjust the left analog stick to relaxed, crank the deadzone all the way down if you haven't already, crank the outer deadzone all the way up, set up the d-pad left and right as the arrow left and right keys on the keyboard, and you're all set for playing the game from your couch. I've also been using it through Steam's controller configuration tool. I've only used an old wired Xbox 360 controller, but it works for me. There's a better way if you use the below paragraph. (Only active until the game gets closed.) I'm not really sure how to close the program normally except to alt+enter out of fullscreen and click the X in the upper right. I do not recommend using alt+F4 to close the program. Just some quality of life advice from things I used for myself.
